Melissa Kouns, MD (AY 22-23)
Dr. Melissa Kouns is honored to be St. Elizabeth’s Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellow for the 2022-2023 academic year. She originally hails from Covington, Kentucky, and she earned her medical degree at the University of Kentucky (Go Cats!). Dr. Kouns completed her residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois, and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. She spent 7 rewarding years as a primary care physician and is excited to embark on this new adventure in a field that she is very passionate about. In her spare time, Dr. Kouns enjoys spending time with her husband and attempts to keep up with her 3 young children and beloved golden retriever.
