Dr. Melati is excited to join St. Elizabeth Palliative Care and is committed to providing compassionate, biopsychosocial-spiritual support to patients and families facing serious or terminal illness. She has a special interest in partnering with oncology teams to help patients with cancer maintain the best possible quality of life throughout treatment. She works closely with patients, families, and providers to support complex symptom management, goals-of-care discussions, advance care planning, care coordination, and communication during challenging times. Colleagues can think of her for patients with any life-limiting illness who may benefit from specialized support focused on easing physical, emotional, social, or existential suffering. Outside of medicine, she enjoys weightlifting and can leg press an impressive 583 pounds.
