Thoracic Surgeon Thoracic Surgeon is needed at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Greater Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a full-time, dedicated (non-cardiac) Thoracic Surgeon to join our Thoracic Surgery division. Partner with two full-time thoracic surgeons and two physician assistants to care for a patient population including thoracic oncology patients (large percentage of lung cancer) as well as esophageal cases. Candidates for this position must be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and possess clinical skills in minimally invasive thoracic surgery. Robotic experience is preferred but not required. St. Elizabeth’s thoracic surgery program participates in the Society of Thoracic Surgery database. Teamwork with oncologists, pulmonologists, and radiologists exists through our oncology service line. Our lung cancer screening program is on track to perform 4,000+ scans. St. Elizabeth built a new Cancer Center in 2020. The Center offers a multi-disciplinary approach to cancer diagnosis and treatment. Our Cancer Program is affiliated with the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center, one of 69 NCI-designated cancer centers in the country. This affiliation provides St. Elizabeth expanded access to clinical trials, educational resources and research grants available to National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers. St. Elizabeth Healthcare is a six-hospital, 1,000+ bed community health system in a market of 400,000+ people. St. Elizabeth is home to a Family Medicine Residency Program and a Medical School in partnership with the University of Kentucky and Northern Kentucky University.
